The dates
Conductor announced the change on November 4, 2026, in its announcement and changelog 0.93.0. New sign-ups closed that day. Existing Pro users keep Pro features for free, and free users can no longer upgrade.
On November 13, Conductor Cloud workspaces go read-only. You can still read old chats and export data, but you can't send new messages. On November 20, Conductor Cloud shuts down and Conductor begins deleting cloud user data.
The Mac app runs on a longer clock. Local Conductor keeps working and gets new models and critical bug fixes until early 2027, when it starts winding down.
Before November 13: push everything
Read-only means no new agent turns, so anything still in progress inside a cloud workspace has to reach your own git remote while the workspace takes new messages.
In each cloud workspace, commit what's in progress to a branch, even if it's half done, and push it: git add -A && git commit -m wip && git push -u origin HEAD. Run git stash list as well, because a stash doesn't travel with a push. Uncommitted files and unpushed branches exist only in the sandbox, and Conductor begins deleting cloud data on November 20.
Then save what git doesn't hold
To move a cloud workspace and its chats to your Mac, right-click it and choose Transfer to local. To download an archive of all your Conductor data, go to Settings → Account → Export data. Export still works while workspaces are read-only, and Conductor asks you to finish before November 20.
Your Cloud computer settings live in Conductor, not in your repo: the install script and environment variables under Settings → Cloud computer, and each repository's cloud setup script. Copy the scripts out. Conductor hides secret values once they're saved, so take those from wherever you keep the originals.
Pick where the team works next
If your team used Conductor Cloud to work together, it needs a shared machine again, either one you run or one somebody runs for you.
Coshell is a multiplayer coding environment: several people prompt the same live agent session on a shared drive, with 70+ models, and a drive runs as many agents and sessions as your team wants. You can self-host it free on a laptop, a Mac mini, a VM, or a container. Or use Coshell Cloud, where we run the machine: 8 vCPU, 32 or 64 GB of RAM, and it sleeps when idle.
The migration guide walks through setup step by step, and the comparison covers where Conductor and Coshell differ.
