Changelog

October 2026.

Coshell is a multiplayer AI coding agent. Your team shares cloud dev machines, called drives, and works with the agent in one live session. This is the complete record of what we shipped since the fork from opencode. We update this page with every release.

Improved

Follow a detached run to the end

coshell logs <id> --follow streams a run and exits when the run finishes. It exits with a non-zero code when the run fails, so scripts and CI can act on the result.

New

Every model plans its work

Agents on every model break multi-step work into a to-do list and see the current list at every step. Follow along in the session as items check off.

New

Stuck runs stop on their own

When an agent repeats the same call, Coshell reminds it to change course. If the call keeps failing, the run stops and everyone in the session sees why.

Improved

More room for long sessions on smaller models

On models without prompt caching, and on models with a context window of 128k tokens or less, Coshell trims large, older tool output as a session grows. The agent works longer before it needs to summarize the conversation.

Improved

Self-hosted drives keep Claude Code current

Before a Claude Pro or Max session, a self-hosted drive checks its Claude Code. When that copy is older than Coshell supports, the drive installs a current one in its own folder and leaves your machine's copy alone.

Get your team in the same session.

Open a drive in the browser, or attach from the CLI. Your whole team works in one shared live session.
